The Other Works of James Lee Burke

A number of Burke's other works delve into his fictionalized family history in the Louisiana / Texas borderland. Several of them are even precursors to the Billy Bob Holland series in that they feature characters named Holland in the time between the early 19th Century and the current era.

In many of the other novels, Burke features a flawed character saddled with the weight of pre-Antebellum family history.
